 Reproduced Dubrovnik weighted chess pieces with a 3.6" King and base diameter of 1.6" This set is Double Weighted and the chess pieces have thick green felt on their bases. The dark chess pieces are made in Ebonised wood and the lighter chess pieces are made in Boxwood.The design of this set is an exact reproduction of the 1970s-era Dubrovnik Chess set, used in the 19th Chess Olympiad in Siegen, West Germany and made popular by the legendary Bobby Fischer, who was often photographed playing with his own set. This Chess set lacks many of the ornate features found in many Chess sets and featured sturdier bases and reinforced collars on all of the pieces, creating a set that will withstand years of use and abuse. The Bishops feature alternate-colored finials, and the King's finials can be easily swapped.
